Everyone loves a good story, especially the ones where we play the hero overcoming adversity.
We spin these narratives daily. A minor slight becomes a chapter on injustice; a misunderstanding becomes a tale of injury. Piece by piece, we compile a heavy, unpublished book of grievances.
Zen practice doesn't judge these stories. It simply shines a light on them. We watch the same plots repeat, realizing they are authored entirely by our own karma.
Let’s put the pen down. Let the pages fly away. Feel the lightness in the empty space that remains.
