Blue Institute Updates & Happy New Year
Happy new year concept_ 2018 to 2019 written in the sand on a beach
Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

Happy New Year and Welcome 2019! It's been two years since we created the Blue Institute and started this journey. We are so proud to have received our IRS 501(c)(3) Designation, this has been the result of literally hundreds of passionate individuals and organizations ecouraging and helping us along. We now have offices at the Harwich Cultural Center and on the water in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Among the highlights are:

  • Ocean's Day cross-disciplinary programming for 150 Kindergarteners
  • Our first H2O STEM Conference at Sandwich STEM Academy & High School
  • Community Case Study with UMass Dartmouth Students
  • Over 100 higher US & Canadian education institutions interested in our unique water-centric undergraduate "semester away" program.
  • We are working with local stakeholders in Plymouth, Massachusetts to explore creating a 250+ person residential campus co-located with the Blue Incubator, PBC.

Our future plans include:
  • In 2019 we are expanding our educational offerings:
  • Marine Robotics Challenge for university/high school/middle school
  • Blue Careers Day at Cape Cod Community College
  • "Women On Water" Speaker Series
  • Place-Based Waterways & Contemplative Fly Fishing
  • Water Poetry and Prose Evening
  • Intergenerational Water Security and Resiliency Workshop
  • In 2020 we are aiming for our first "Semester-Away" Cohort, and developing the "NextGen" of Water Thought Leadership.

We welcome additional Sponsors, Partners and Collaborations in these

None of this would have progressed without the generous initial Seed Funding from Mr. Joseph Keller, of Keller Co. After reading on our mission he sent an email saying,
"I believe in your Mission - clean drinking water & clean oceans are essential for my children, and all children of future generations everwhere on this earth. I am going to help you because it's the right thing to do!"

Thank you for your continued interest and support.
Now is the time your donations can make all the difference.
We are looking forward to a great 2019 at the Blue Institute , and
we wish You and Yours a very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!
