Blue Oak families are encourage to join in a national day of service: Make A Difference Day; Saturday October 28th 8:30am-11:30am. It is the largest single-day of volunteering in the country.

This is an opportunity for our school to support organizations that are providing important services in our community. It is a wonderful opportunity to instill in our children the value of giving to others, and hopefully inspire continued service throughout our lives. We have adopted 3 project locations: Esplanade House, Butte Humane Society, and Chico Creek Nature Center. Each will involve maintenance and yard work that the organization has expressed needing help with.

Additionally, information about a warm clothing drive for our offering to the Esplanade House is forthcoming. An event page on FB has been created for each location. Please RSVP there, to the service project of your choice for updates.

If you're not on social media, please provide your name indicating which project you'd like to support to  and you will receive updates. It'd be great to have a team of at least 20 people (children & adults) at each location!!!
Looking for volunteers to join our maintenance team. If you are handy or like improving things, please contact Summer to get on this list.

There are parents seats open on this committee. It is a Board Advisory committee.
They meet regularly on the second Tuesday of each month at 4 pm in the Parent Center.
You can stop by the next meeting to check it out and express your interest.
