Last Chance to Shape Our Democratic Future: Final Week of Pre-Primary Registration

By Jacob Trujillo, Chair, Democratic Party of Bernalillo County and

Kathleen Moseley, 1st Vice Chair, Democratic Party of Bernalillo County

As we enter the final stretch of the 2026 DPBC Pre-Primary Process, registered Democrats in Bernalillo County have one last opportunity to make their voices heard. This unique grassroots system empowers you to help decide which candidates appear on the Democratic primary ballot for key offices—your participation directly influences who represents our values in the upcoming elections.

Registration for the Pre-Primary closes this Saturday, February 7th at 5:00 PM. If you're a registered Democrat in Bernalillo County and haven't signed up yet, act now!

Visit Pre-Primary Delegate Registration to complete the quick registration form and secure your spot. (Note: You must be a registered Democrat to participate—check your status if needed.)

This Saturday also marks a pivotal gathering: Join us for the Pre Primary All-Ward Meeting at 11:30 AM (doors open at 10:30 AM) at the UNM Continuing Education Building, 1634 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87131. Come meet fellow Democrats, hear from candidates, learn about the process, and connect with our community. It's an inspiring chance to see democracy in action—hundreds of engaged locals coming together to build a stronger party.

After registration closes, voting opens Wednesday, February 11th through Saturday, February 15th, with results tallied on Sunday, February 16th. Elected delegates will then represent Bernalillo County at the State Pre-Primary Convention on March 7th.

Don't miss this moment—your input matters in this crucial year. Register today, join us Saturday, and let's keep the blue wave strong in New Mexico!

Our Community Our Voice - NE Heights Dems

Every Thursday, the corner of Paseo del Norte & Ventura NE (by Trader Joe’s and Albertsons) becomes more than just pavement — it becomes the people’s pulpit. From Noon to 1 PM, voices rise, signs lift, and hearts unite under one banner: Our Community, Our Voices!

We’re not just protesting — we’re proclaiming.

We’re saying no to tyranny, no to cruelty, and YES to the enduring promise that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.

Bring your passion, your poster, and your presence. Whether you’ve marched a thousand times or never before — this is your moment to stand tall, speak loud, and show that Albuquerque’s NE Heights has fire in its soul and love in its purpose.

Because when neighbors gather, democracy breathes again. 🌹💙
