A Message from Our President
It's an incredible time to be a student, employee, or friend of Blue Ridge Community College! Right now, thousands of WNC students are pursuing their professional dreams on our three campuses in Henderson and Transylvania Counties.

This May, we'll be graduating the largest class in our College's history. We're also preparing for another engaging summer full of hands-on summer camps for high school students. As university students return to the area this summer, we're ready to help them catch up or get ahead on their studies at a fraction of the cost through transferable summer courses.

Furthermore, we're adding numerous timely new programs in the coming year that are critical to the success of our region and state. These include artificial intelligence, civil and environmental engineering, medical office administration, entrepreneurship, licensed practical nurse (LPN), respiratory therapy, and an elementary education residency. We've also expanded the number of seats of our popular nursing program to serve even more students each year.
You can learn more about our College's ongoing workforce efforts in my latest article published by EdNC, "Intentional Alignment to Meet Local Workforce Training Needs," as well as our new 2021-22 Annual Report.

Every win for Blue Ridge is a win for our whole community as we work together to strengthen the workforce and therefore improve our quality of life.

Dr. Laura B. Leatherwood
President
