Blue Sparks is our way to share all the wonderful news JDA has to share!
Hello from Sandy and Randy!

Greetings! It's hard to believe that in just about 40 days we'll be back in the Hearth enjoying meals (and Hearth Songs) with our sweet campers. Needless to say, we have been busy! Here's a quick recap on all that's happened in the off season.

Here We All Sing...

Those magical evenings around the campfire forge bonds of friendship that will never fade away. Sadly, life happens and we lose touch. Let's stay connected through Blue Sparks! See what your fellow Camp JDA alumni are up to!
Torch Bearer Opportunities

It has been such a pleasure getting to know our alumni more personally over the past year. We have enjoyed hearing your stories of how Camp Jeanne d'Arc continues to have an influence in your lives. Alumni from across the generations have asked how they can give back to JDA? The answer is, there are lots of ways! And we appreciate even the smallest contribution. Click on the link below to learn specific ways to give back.

Taste of Camp

As most of you know, after the excitement of daily camp activities, our oldest campers (the Owls) visit the other cabins. The Owls deliver milk and cookies to each cabin, but more importantly they listen to the campers' stories and share their wisdom. Mary, our talented cook, and her amazing staff often make fresh cookies for this cherished camp tradition. We may not do fresh cookies every night in the Abbott home, but you can bet we do on Fridays! Check out our favorite family recipe. Make the cookies and share the results on camp's Instagram.

Do Me A Favor, Come Back...

Let's be honest, nobody ever wants to "age out" of summer camp. After all, Camp becomes our "home away from home." Each summer, several fortunate young adults have the privilege of coming back to camp to help make the magic happen for the girls. Take a moment to see if you recognize any of these names and hometowns.

Caring Corner

One of our missions at Camp Jeanne d'Arc is to inspire our campers to believe that they have value; that through sharing their unique talents and skills, they can make an impact in the world. We are practicing this principle at camp as we donate to the local community.  Current campers have donated funds to purchase materials for over 20 fleece blankets to be donated to Catholic Charities in Malone. Campers will have an opportunity at camp to assemble the blankets. Check out how we do it in the link below. We will offer several different opportunities for campers to participate in meaningful service throughout the summer.
