This Friday is National Blueberry Muffin day! Blueberry muffins have been the most favored muffin since they were first created. Blueberries were introduced into American home kitchens in the early part of the twentieth century. This is the time blueberries finally became a commercial crop. And as they say... the rest is history!
Cooking projects are an invaluable platform. The lesson can be used to teach fractions by measuring ingredients, verbal/literacy by following directions, nutrition by talking about MyPlate.org, and so on.
