Dear Colleague,

We end the month on a high with Bluebird Care Galway's EIQA national award for Homecare Company of the Year. They were also runners up for Best Company in Ireland for Quality Management Systems. This is testament to the hard work and commitment of Sean Lyons, Carolyn Corless and the entire team in our Galway office.

Bluebird Care in Meath also received a national commendation award for quality homecare from EIQA. Bluebird Care is the first franchised homecare company in Ireland to have all our offices certified with the Q Mark for Quality.

In other news, we are hosting a series of Guess Who's Coming to Tea tea parties as part of the 2014 Positive Ageing Week celebrations in association with Age Action. We are delighted once again to be the main sponsor of this campaign which promotes older peoples' contribution to Irish society

Don't forget our cookbook Food for the Soul is now available for sale on our website

Until next month,

Kind Regards,

Brian MacGoey

Managing Director

Bluebird Care Sponsors Guess Who's Coming to Tea

Martin King, TV3 along with members of Age Action and Kieran Hallinan, Director of Bluebird Care North East at the launch of Guess Who's Coming to Tea.

Age Action and  the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind are teaming up with a group of celebrities this October to organise hundreds of  fundraising tea parties across Ireland.

The Guess Who's Coming to Tea event is a fundraiser with a twist, in that anyone who organises and registers a tea party will be in with a chance of having one of the celebrities of their choice drop in on the day for a cuppa.

The tea parties will be held as part of Age Action's  Positive Ageing  Week , which runs from October 1 (UN International Day of the Older Person)  to October 9 (World Sight Day).

It is hoped that the Guess Who's Coming To Tea event will raise public awareness of blindness and vision impairment as a major national public health issue. The event is proudly sponsored by Bluebird Care.

Supporters can register their tea party, vote for their celebrity guest and get their party packs to help them celebrate the day by visiting or phoning 01-4756989.
