This week in Annapolis, oversight of the State’s ambitious education plan took center stage. The final Senate approval of nominees to the Accountability and Implementation Board finalized its formal membership, but not without debate over its geographic representation. The Board’s Chair, former MACo President and Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, briefed House leaders on their revised timetable and plans to serve as the “watchdog” for the Blueprint roll-out. Legislation lies ahead for both the Board’s deadlines and its membership, as the guidance of these record investments are forward in mind for so many stakeholders. Conduit Street has your coverage.
