Hello, everyone! I hope that all of you had a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoyed the extra days off. As promised last week, a complete list of upcoming events for the rest of the school year is included this week.
Gifted & Talented (G/T) nominations open today and will close on Monday, April 15.

We have several events this week. On Tuesday, all students who participated in JH Academic UIL will be taken to Cici's Pizza in Stephenville. The school will pay for lunch but your child may want to bring money for the arcade games. We also have a baseball game on this night at home. On Wednesday, our high school students participating in academic UIL will travel to Huckabay for our district meet. We will leave the school at 7:00 a.m. Students should be at school by 6:50 a.m. Students will return to school at either 1:30 or 6:00, depending on individual schedules. On Thursday, our JH students will participate in the district track meet in Gordon. Friday is an early release day for students. Grades pre-k through 5 will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. Grades 6-12 will also be dismissed at this time; however, if your child is not staying to eat lunch at school, he or she may leave at 12:30. Buses will run at 1:10 p.m. Our baseball team will travel to Gordon on this night. Saturday is Prom for our HS students! This year's prom will be held at LC Ranch between Tolar and Granbury. The hours are 7:00 - 11:00. No one will be admitted after 7:30 p.m. Once a student leaves prom, he or she may not return. A full sit-down dinner will be served followed by Casino Night and prizes. It will be beautiful and so much fun! Report cards will be sent home next Wednesday.
Our elementary Success Assembly will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, April 12 in the HS gym. On Saturday, April 13, there will be a JH dance from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Mountain Lakes Clubhouse. Don't forget that our elementary field day will be held on Friday, May 3rd.

Monday, May 13 - 6:00 p.m. - UIL Banquet - Invitations coming for participant & parents (grades 2 - 12)
Tuesday, May 14 - 6:00 p.m. - Academic Banquet - Invitations coming for eligible students & parents (grades 6 - 12)
High School finals will be given on Wednesday and Thursday, May 22 & 23. All students must report to school on both of these days. Exempt students will have activities planned.

Monday, May 13 - 12:00 - 1:00 - Senior Luncheon at Methodist Church
Sunday, May 19 - 4:00 - Baccalaureate at Methodist Church or Hillside Baptist (TBD) - Seniors should wear caps & gowns to this.
Friday, May 24 - 7:50 a.m. - Senior Breakfast and Graduation Practice followed by Graduation at 7:00 p.m. in the HS gym. Seniors are free to leave school after the JH/HS End-of-Year Awards Program which starts at 9:15 has concluded. Each senior will have 5 seats available for family on the floor. All guests beyond this will have seating in the stands. There is no limit to how many guests each graduating senior may have.
8th Grade Promotion will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd in the HS gym.
Kindergarten Graduation will follow the End-of-Year Awards Assemblies at 11:15 on Friday, May 24th.
