Fun Fact: Zay Green has been to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia!

Zay Green

Zay Green is the Town of Blythewood's new Maintenance Technician and started working for the Town in May! He has been learning all the ropes these past couple weeks, such as driving the tractor. You may see him out and about cutting grass, blowing leaves, and working along the interstate. Zay is excited to be a part of the Town. He lives in Columbia, South Carolina with his 9 month old son and his mom and sister also live in the area. His favorite food is chicken wings and favorite sport is basketball. He loves traveling and his favorite destination so far has been Colorado! Be sure to come meet Zay!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Bring Old American Flags to Town Hall!

Town Hall accepts old, worn American flags year round. If you bring them in by June 10th, they will be properly burned during VFW's Flag Retirement Ceremony at Lake Wateree on Flag Day, June 14th!

The Town of Blythewood presents Movies in the Park! Come on out to Doko Meadows on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at sunset to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl! Check out the flyer below for the rest of the years schedule!

KS and Pebo Wilson will be in Doko Meadows Park for a Pop Meets Country Concert on Sunday, June 16th at the Palmetto Citizens Amphitheater in Doko Meadows Park. VIP tickets are $20 a person. There will be food, games, and live music!

The Blythewood Farmer's Market season has begun! It is in Doko Meadows Park every Wednesday from 4PM-7PM until the end of November. Shop local produce! Click here to visit their website for vendor information and other events.

Food Truck Fridays with Camp Discovery!

Camp Discovery is hosting Food Truck Fridays from 4:30pm-6:30pm on June 28th and July 26th at 208 Claude Bundrick Road here in Blythewood. There will also be scenic picnic areas, guided hikes, relaxation, yard games, and more!
