These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. Construction Update
Construction Manager Jack Hayes FQC provided information on the US Communities direct procurement process. Mr. Hayes explained the process of utilizing a national bid pricing structure on some aspects of projects to ensure the District has all of the mechanical equipment and hardware necessary for this summer's projects on site and on time. 

Superintendent Visit to Churchill School
Dr. Gordon thanked Churchill teacher Kristin Travers for welcoming him into her 4th grade class as a "Student for a Day" last week. He praised her for her impressive teaching that day and shared that the students were engaged and excited to learn.

Listening Session "Open Office Hours" at Hadley
Dr. Gordon reported about taking time at Hadley to meet with staff. The most memorable part was being asked to attend the Swing Dance competition with students during PE. He commented that the PE staff are amazing and they work diligently to create a safe and fun environment for the students. While at Hadley he stayed after school and watched some of the student/staff basketball game and social event. He thanked Hadley for having him there for the afternoon.

National Board Certified Teacher
Hadley teacher Frank Tomaszkiewicz spoke about the District's newest National Board Certified Teacher Hadley math teacher Robin Bollinger. She is one of four nationally certified teachers currently teaching in District 41. Superintendent Gordon shared how very proud we all are of her accomplishment.

Fiscal Year 2017 Audit Presentation 
Nick Cavalari from Baker Tilly presented the required financial audit update to the Board.

Program Review: Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE) of DuPage
Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter and Director of Student Services Laurel O'Brien presented the CASE program review findings.

Board Legacy Goal Update
Superintendent Gordon and the District 41 Cabinet team presented the work accomplished and information collected related to supporting the Board Legacy Goals. At a future meeting, the Board will determine the next steps related to their Legacy Goals. In addition, the Board discussed the role of the Finance Advisory Committee and Board engagement.
