BHS Student Shares Why BHS is #ThePlaceToB

Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, students from each Barrington 220 school are making special appearances at our Board of Education meetings to share updates on their school experiences. At our Feb. 18 meeting, we welcomed Tovie Olson, a junior at Barrington High School and a cast member of the BHS spring musical. Tovie has loved her time in Drama Club, which she says has taught her initiative, self drive, and excellent memorization skills! She cherishes the traditional backstage cheer at the end of each performance, and always looks forward to cast sleepovers. Tovie plays Velma Kelly in Chicago: Teen Edition, which runs Feb. 20-23 at BHS! She says BHS is #ThePlaceToB because it has communities where everyone can feel comfortable and included.
