Allen, Max
I was born and brought up in Bangor, ME. I graduated from the Univ. of Conn. College of Pharmacy and practiced my profession for over 52 years. My wife, Froma, and I moved to Oklahoma in 1987 where I supervised the start-up and operation of a full-service clinical laboratory for long-term care facilities. I also worked in pharmacy while there for 20 years. In 2007, Froma and I moved to Westbrook Village in 2007, working for CVS Pharmacy until I retired in August of 2009.

I have always enjoyed giving back to my community, profession, and synagogue. Over the years, I have participated by serving on boards in many organizations taking on responsibility of leadership at all levels. Non professional groups included , Masons ( 32nd Degree), Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor Jaycees, Synagogue Boards in both Bangor and Oklahoma, Locally I serve as President of the Westbrook Village Players and have guided the club for the past 6 years, as a Director of the Performing Arts Counsel and have served as their representative to the WBV Recreation Committee for 4 years. And have served as a Director on the WBV HOA Board of Directors.

Westbrook Village is a viable, lively, active community and fun to live in. I am asking for your vote to the Board of Directors to enable me to continue to contribute my knowledge and experience accumulated over a lifetime to help WBV continue to grow and prosper. Thank you.

Canepa, Tom
I’m seeking re-election to the Westbrook Village HOA as I complete my first term on the Board. I’m currently serving as the Board Vice President and chair the Architectural Control Committee. As a member of the Ways & Means committee, I’ve been involved in the review and recommendations for the past two budgets for the association

My working career spanned 40 years in administrative roles at public universities. Each position involved extensive budgetary management and fiscal responsibility, personnel functions, committee work and interaction with various public constituents.

Following completion of bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona, I worked for Northern Arizona University for 20 years in various administrative positions. While at NAU I completed my doctoral degree in educational leadership. Most recently, I oversaw the admissions and financial aid offices for the University of Cincinnati, working with a staff of 80+ professionals to enroll over 5,000 new students each year.

My familiarity with Westbrook Village goes back 30+ years, when my parents became residents. I witnessed the evolution of the development through our regular visits and was always impressed by the conscious effort on the part of previous board members and management to maintain a community that offered many amenities and a warm, welcoming environment to residents.
This environment was a major consideration to our moving here to retire.

I am a member of the golf club and the woodshop club. I look forward to continuing to serve the community as a member of the board

Heschel, Jerald
My wife (Morgan) and I have owned our Westbrook Village home since 2011. We are in the process of becoming full time residents since we are both now retired. I was born in Ohio and graduated from college there. Subsequently my career has taken me many other locations from coast to coast in the U.S. We were attracted to relocate to this area from Park City, UT by the warm weather but more importantly four granddaughters who live nearby.
I retired from a successful career at the Internal Revenue Service (26 years as an executive). At the peak of my career led an customer service organization of more the 20,000 employees. After retiring from IRS I worked as a consultant for Northrop Grumman Corporation for five years and I am currently a self-employed tax consultant.
My volunteer activities include five years successfully serving as President of two HOA’s where I significantly improved the financial position of both HOAs (only raised dues once) and ensured all the Board’s actions were transparent (e.g. owners could participate in meetings electronically). That experience would serve me well as a WVA Board member. I am a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus where I have served as Financial Secretary (Comptroller) in two Councils and recently became a member of the Elks. My hobbies include cooking, bicycling, hiking/walking and target shooting.

Maiorana, Sil
My name is Sil Maiorana.  My wife, Renee, and I moved to WBV from the suburbs of Chicago in September 2016. Having been full time residents for 3 plus years now, we have a great appreciation for Westbrook Village as a welcoming, vibrant community that offers so much for all its residents.

In my professional career I spent 40+ years in Accounting and Finance, the last 30 years working in the Aerospace and Defense Industry for major U.S. Defense contractors.

I have served on the Westbrook Village Board of Directors for two years. During this time, I have served as Treasurer and Chairman of both the Ways and Means and Budget Committees. In those two years, I have become familiar with all matters related to our finances. Our HOA finances are in a strong position. This past year we were able make major improvements to our Lakes ballroom and pool without hindering our financial position. This was a tremendous accomplishment by our internal staff and external contractors. Going forward I believe it is important to continue this path of fiscal responsibility and financial security for our community.

I believe our Board will be challenged in the near future to help residents understand the need to make certain changes to our CCR’s (aka our Constitution). I believe I can contribute to helping our community move forward in these important initiatives that will help to shape our future.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve on our HOA Board of Directors.
