“We chose Nicholas after a thorough and open process because he is ready to build on the Chamber’s momentum and get to work on helping our business community thrive. He lives in this community, so he understands the necessity to create good jobs and improve the quality of life for Riverside residents,” stated Julio Figueroa, External Affairs Director and Tribal Liaison for AT&T and the Chamber’s 2022-2023 Chair of the Board.
Adcock stated, “I am excited to get started and grateful for the confidence from the Board and Executive Committee. This Chamber has been my home for 13 years and I am looking forward to working with our members and the Chamber team to continue Riverside’s upward trajectory.”
Adcock follows his mentor Cindy Roth, who recently announced she would step down after a 45-year career with the Chamber, including 23 years as its President/CEO. Adcock joined the Chamber in 2009 as the Community Development Coordinator and rose through positions of Communications & Marketing Manager and Governmental Affairs Manager before becoming the organization's Vice President in 2013.
During that time, he focused on projects like securing state funding and accreditation for the School of Medicine at the University of California, Riverside, advocating for reform and relief for businesses against predatory litigation, and securing local control of Ontario International Airport. More recently, Adcock led the effort to transition several of the Chamber’s value and membership programs to virtual settings and provide the latest news, resources, and information to local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also proud to have engaged in the Chamber’s partnership with local stakeholders to attract the California Air Resources Board Southern California Headquarters to Riverside.
Adcock is a fourth-generation Riverside resident with a family legacy of small business owners and service to the community. He is a product of the Riverside Unified School District and an alum of the Riverside Community College District and the University of California, Riverside. He graduated from the Chamber’s Leadership Riverside program in 2013 and the Western Association of Chamber Executives’ Academy Program in 2014.
He currently serves as a past president on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Riverside and previously served as a past president of the Pick Group of Young Professionals. He and his wife Sydnee live in Riverside with their daughter Marigold.
