Southern Minnesota Sportsman's Club Needs You Help 

Have you ever thought that you had some great ideas about how the Sportsman's club could be better? We need some 'new blood' for our board of directors. Every year 1/3 of our board is elected by our membership. Our club is only as good as the people that are willing to donate their time to making it what it could be.

We need nominations for the Board for the May 14 All-Members' Meeting

RULES FOR NOMINATIONS:​

No nominations will be accepted during the all members meeting, in May.

All nominations must be received by the Board ​before​ the end of the May board meeting. (Nominations will be accepted during the May board meeting, at the SMSC Clubhouse, at 7:30PM on May 12.)

RULES FOR NOMINEES:​

The nominee must agree to run for the Board BEFORE being nominated. Nominees not present, when the nomination is made, should expect to be contacted by a member of the board to confirm their agreement to run for the board.

Nominees should be prepared to speak, for 2 minutes or less, regarding their qualifications, interests, area of service, and expected contribution to the leadership of the club, at the May All-­Member meeting. If prior commitments preclude the nominee's participation at this meeting, the nominee should designate a representative to read their written statement.

EXPECTATIONS FOR THOSE ELECTED:​

Participate in all SMSC Board meetings and activities.

Contribute to the SMSC in a positive way.

Invest time and labor in supporting SMSC and its members.

Assume a position of responsibility and service on the SMSC Board.

Have a desire to serve and to improve SMSC.
