Board to hold public comment on IASB resolutions
The Barrington 220 Board of Education is seeking public feedback regarding the Illinois Association of School Board's (IASB) 2020 resolution proposals.

Every November school boards from across the state send a delegate to the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) conference in Chicago. At this conference, the delegates vote on proposed resolutions IASB will pursue in the upcoming legislative sessions. Due to the pandemic, this year’s conference will take place virtually on Nov. 14.

Prior to Nov. 14, the Barrington 220 Board of Education is holding a public comment session, where community members can share their thoughts on the resolutions up for approval. The public comment session will be held at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting on Oct. 6 and it will begin at 8pm. The Board asks comments be limited to 90 seconds. Community members who wish to speak are encouraged to sign up in advance. Please contact Jeanine Stark at [email protected] and indicate which resolution you wish to address. To email your comments to the Board instead of participating in public comment, please click here.

The Board will discuss and vote on which resolutions it plans to support, at its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 20. Click here to view the 2020 resolutions.
