EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Members of The Heads Network:


On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are pleased to announce that Jennifer Evers will serve as the newly appointed Executive Director of The Heads Network beginning May 1, 2023.


Currently Ms. Evers is the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Professional Development for the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools. A distinguished educator with a record of respected leadership in independent schools, Jennifer is not only familiar with the culture of

The Heads Network, but also possesses the wisdom, strength, talent, and enthusiasm to lead the association.


Ms. Evers began her distinguished career at The Madeira School as Assistant Director of Alumnae Relations and Development. From there Ms. Evers worked at the Cranbrook School honing her skills in Admissions and External Relations. She continued her work as the Associate Director for External Relations at Lake Forest Academy, managing and directing fundraising strategies. Later she moved to the Latin School of Chicago where she taught Middle School and Upper School Mandarin Chinese.


An advocate for independent schools, Jennifer Evers has been a strong supporter of women leaders and leadership training. She commented, “I am honored and thrilled to serve The Heads Network as its next Executive Director. The mission of The Heads Network aligns deeply with my longstanding commitment to supporting and advancing women leaders in education through meaningful collaboration and relevant, inclusive programming. I am deeply grateful to the Board and the Search Committee, and I want to thank Sissy Wade for her vision and leadership during her tenure. I look forward to advancing our work together.”

 

The annual conference presents the perfect opportunity to celebrate our Executive Director, Margaret “Sissy” Wade, who is retiring. Sissy has enjoyed a remarkable tenure as leader of The Heads Network. A tireless advocate for education, she has created new opportunities in the development of women leaders by providing inspiring professional development webinars so that we learn from and with each other. Additionally, Sissy is a strong supporter of leadership training for women in all stages of their career. The initiatives that Sissy has led provide a solid foundation for the association to continue to grow.
