PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Crab Feast Raffle for the benefit of the Plumpton Park Zoo. Last Thursday, we presented the Zoo with a check in the amount of $1200 which will certainly help them continue with the care of so many rescued animals. If you have not visited the Zoo, I would highly recommend it.

Post Date:05/31/2019 1:03 PM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ELKTON, MD. ––Ready to get more involved in working with Cecil County staff and council members on projects? Do you have expertise you could share? Cecil County Government is now recruiting interested individuals to fill vacant seats on various boards and commissions that examine issues of community concern and provide guidance to county government.

The County Executive will review applications for possible appointment to a board/commission/committee. Information will be kept on file in the Office of the County Executive for four (4) years from the date of submission.

Appointees serve without compensation (except for the Board of License Commissioners) and are required to complete an annual Financial Disclosure Statement with the Ethics Commission (via the Cecil County Department of Human Resources) while they serve. Board and committee members are required to attend meetings according to the specific board/commission as scheduled and may be removed from the panel(s) based on lack of attendance.

County Council will make the official appointments at an upcoming legislative session.

Cecil County residents may submit their applications via email or fax to Angela Vaca at [email protected] or 1-800-863-0947.
