We Have Shipped Our 20,000th
Kit!
Chesapeake Light
Craft hit a huge milestone on November 15th when we shipped our
20,000th kit. It was a Shearwater 17,
sent to a builder in Aguanga, California.
If
all those boats were lined up bow to stern, they would stretch 56.8
miles, or 91.4 kilometers.

Lots of CLC kayak
kits have flush hatches in the decks. Our friend Russell Brown is
machining up these sleek black Delrin hatch toggles, which spare
you having to make the wooden ones, last longer than the wooden
ones, and don't scratch varnish as easily. They just look good,
too.

 Open House at the CLC Shop!
Join us on Saturday, December 11th between 9am and
4pm for an Open House at our factory, showroom, and shop
in Annapolis.
Following coffee and donuts, we'll have boatbuilding
demonstrations throughout the day including
fiberglass, epoxy, and
varnishing. We have lots of new designs to check
out in the prototype shop, and VERY deep discounts on selected
