We caution, it will sicken and anger you, but in the end, it might give you a glimmer of hope. If not for the outrage of concerned Orange County citizens and the intervention of Supervisor Katrina Foley, some lucky Newport Beach resident would have ended up with a nice public trust parcel in the Newport Back Bay area for a bargain price of $13,000.00. Two big questions remain, will the Orange County Board of Supervisors act on the recommendations of the Grand Jury? Will the previous 2nd District Supervisor get reelected to the US House of Representatives?

Elected officials appear to be amazed at the public cynicism of corruption in government. We pose the question. If you were an elected official, how would you conduct yourself? Would you accept political contributions from individuals who own companies you promoted to secure lucrative county leases? Would even the hint of impropriety exclude you from taking those donations?
While every individual has the right to donate to the political candidate of their choice, we do find the Federal Election Commission Contributions Interesting.
Yes, we do believe it is time to request a third Grand Jury investigation into Dana Point Harbor.
