SPS Good News
In the Classroom
The trout in the Science Lab are growing! This much-loved environmental education program in which students learn to raise trout from eggs to fry, monitor tank water quality, engage in stream habitat study, learn to appreciate water resources, begin to foster a conservation ethic, and grow to understand ecosystems has been a staple in Mrs. Bartley-Bogard's curriculum. We will keep sharing updates until it is time to Release the Trout!

Frozen Jr. Audition Information Grades 4-8
Let’s try this again!! Performance dates for Disney’s Frozen Junior are March 31st, April 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Auditions for the play have been rescheduled and will be held on Tuesday, January 25th, from 3:00 until 6:00 in the school. Tryouts are for speaking/singing roles ONLY. Due to the number of students who tryout, this process takes a long time. Some students will be done much earlier than 6 pm. If possible, please plan so that they can call you for early pickup if necessary. And, obviously, some students will be sitting around waiting to audition for a long time. Please be patient and use your time wisely and quietly.

Visit MTI’s website at to get more info - including complete Character breakdowns. You can also find the full songs and scenes from other productions on YouTube.

Each student participating – whether auditioning or not – needs to fill out a tryout form and either download it, fill it out and send to the office or complete and send it electronically to Mrs. Cambell at

Please view all 3 attached items for further information. Thank you!

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month
Most of us are overwhelmed by the topic of human trafficking. Are you curious how anyone could become a victim, without it being obvious? Are you a parent, student, or teacher concerned about safety, whether in person or online? Are you concerned you or someone you know might need some help? There is an easy answer.

During the month of January* (National Human Trafficking Awareness Month), you can access a professional-level anti-trafficking course that will teach you the essentials of human trafficking in as little as two hours. The best part is you get to "Choose Your Own Price."

Human Trafficking Essentials, the interactive, self-paced, online course, can be accessed through any browser (even your phone) and comes with a certificate of mastery, guaranteed to be accepted for continuing education credits.

* Please hurry. This offer is only available during January, 2022.

Please visit our website's Reopening Plan page to keep updated on COVID-19 protocols and procedures at St. Patricia School. We have added a COVID-19 Dashboard that was created to provide the St. Patricia School community with current information regarding COVID-19 metrics on our school campus and in our surrounding area. Lunch Supervisors
Parents, we need your support! It is through your volunteering efforts that we are able to give our Teachers a well-deserved lunch break in the faculty lounge. Please consider coming and helping out, your time is greatly appreciated!

Lunch supervisors watch classes during lunch and recess. Each day a supervisor works 2 lunch periods, 11:20-11:55 am and 11:55 am- 12:30 pm. The supervisor earns $4.00 per lunch period. If you wish to use this as volunteer hours towards your family's 20 required volunteer hours for the year, you will not be paid for the shift. You may volunteer to work as many days as you like, all are welcomed.

VIRTUS training is required to volunteer. Volunteers will be asked to supervise wherever the need is for their chosen shift. We cannot guarantee you will be placed with your student.
