Frozen Jr. Audition Information Grades 4-8
Auditions for this year’s spring musical, Frozen Jr., were held Tuesday. We continue to be amazed at the confidence and talent that our students bring to auditions. They make it very hard to finalize our cast lists. But we feel we again have two great casts! The Cast List is posted on the website. Many actors/actresses are playing multiple roles so this should be fun! First practice for everyone – both casts – is today, Thursday, in the School Hall until 5:00.

If there is any student who missed auditions but who would still like to be a part of the play, just talk to Mrs. Scialo. There are still some roles open. And remember – we can’t pull this off without a wonderful crew as well.

Due to missing the first two weeks of practices, there is a slight change in the practice schedule. The new schedule is posted on the Drama Club website.

Practices for the next 2 weeks (all in School Hall):
Tuesday, Feb 1st, 1:30-3:30, Cast Sweet! – Full Cast (note practice right after early dismissal)
Wednesday, Feb 2nd, 3:00-5:00, Cast Sweet! – Full Cast
Thursday, Feb 3rd, 3:00-5:00, Cast Awesome – Full Cast

Tuesday, Feb 8th, 3:00-5:00, Cast Sweet! – Full Cast
Wednesday, Feb 9th and Thursday, Feb 10th, 3:00-5:00, Cast Awesome – Full Cast

Polish Council Mass for Healthcare Workers and All Victims of the Pandemic – February 11
The Polish Council invites all to the Shrine of St. John Paul II in Willow Springs (116 Hilton Street, Willow Springs, IL 60480) for a special mass to honor all the healthcare workers, for the end of the pandemic as well for all the victims of COVID-19. During the mass, the relic of Blessed Hanna Chrzanowski (patron of medical healthcare workers) will be brought to the church. Bl. Hanna was a working nurse among the abandoned and chronically ill in their homes. Responding to the evangelical calling to serve Christ in her patients, she also worked closely with Cardinal Karol Wojtyla in establishing parish nursing. The mass will take place on Friday, February 11 at 7 p.m. This is also the World Day of the Sick; during the mass, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated.
Reminders
COVID-19 Information
Please visit our website's Reopening Plan page to keep updated on COVID-19 protocols and procedures at St. Patricia School. We have added a COVID-19 Dashboard that was created to provide the St. Patricia School community with current information regarding COVID-19 metrics on our school campus and in our surrounding area. The dashboard will be updated each Tuesday.
This information is subject to updates based on current guidance. We will communicate updates as they are received from the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools. Thank you for your support!
Virtus Training
As a reminder, Virtus training is mandatory for all wishing to volunteer at St. Patricia School. This program is required by the Archdiocese of Chicago. If you have any questions, please direct them to the school office. Thank you for your support!

Lunch Supervisors
Parents, we need your support! It is through your volunteering efforts that we are able to give our Teachers a well-deserved lunch break in the faculty lounge. Please consider coming and helping out, your time is greatly appreciated!

Lunch supervisors watch classes during lunch and recess. Each day a supervisor works 2 lunch periods, 11:20-11:55 am and 11:55 am- 12:30 pm. The supervisor earns $4.00 per lunch period. If you wish to use this as volunteer hours towards your family's 20 required volunteer hours for the year, you will not be paid for the shift. You may volunteer to work as many days as you like, all are welcomed.

VIRTUS training is required to volunteer. Volunteers will be asked to supervise wherever the need is for their chosen shift. We cannot guarantee you will be placed with your student.
