Bobcat E-Envelope

April 27, 2023

Hi SPS Families,

I hope everyone is having a good week!

I cannot begin to thank everyone who volunteered, attended, organized, donated, and everything in between, with our annual Wine Mixer! It was a great night and it was also great to see our parish come together as one community to help fundraise for our school!

Please keep our 2nd graders in your thoughts and prayers as they receive their First Communion on Saturday. They have been working hard to get to this moment, being led by our 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez.

Next Tuesday is an early dismissal day for the students (1:30 dismissal). There is aftercare offered after school.

As always, if you have any questions or need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks!

Dear Parishioners,

The first thing I saw upon entering Quigley Seminary South was the famous Benedictine motto written in Latin, “Ora et labora” - Prayer and Work! A good seminarian, and for that matter, a good priest must be willing to engage in both disciplines.

This weekend we celebrate First Communion, a time of grand celebrations as the children receive the Lord Jesus for the first time at the Eucharist. This Easter sacrament draws us to intimacy with Jesus - food from heaven and then sends us out into service in His name.

We pray for our young children and their families. May they adopt the motto of “prayer and work” for their life. We all know that today’s childlike innocence will eventually fall away as they face the challenges of adulthood. Hopefully, they will persevere rooted in this beautiful motto....

Volunteer for Service Hours

Spring is here and it's time to spruce up outdoors! SPS is in need of plants to beautify our campus. We have big blue flower pots, outside our school, that need to be filled with beautiful flowers. We need plants that will tolerate full sun exposure.

Please drop off your donations outside the school office by May 12th. A great idea is to purchase flats of flowers from the Spring Flower Sale and then donate them for planting! Click here to place your order

On Saturday, May 13th at 9:00 am, the Garden Club will be planting flowers. If you are in need of volunteer hours or just want to help, please come out and help us plant. Students are always welcome to accompany their parents! We look forward to seeing you there!

Please Sign Up below to donate flowers or to help plant. Thank you for your support!
