Beware of Scams

As the festive holiday season approaches, students often seek temporary work to supplement their income. Unfortunately, online scammers are aware of this and they seek to take advantage of students at this time by offering fraudulent part-time, short-term work. And many of these opportunities are just too good to be true.

Things to be aware of:

  • Offers with high pay for minimal work
  • Requests for upfront payments
  • Personal account information
  • High-pressure tactics or urgency
