Information Security

Digital Spring Cleaning

It's Spring term and a great time to clean up your digital life. Uninstall used apps, delete old files and clear out digital clutter to reduce potential security risks. Take a moment to check the privacy settings on your social media to limit exposure and prevent data leakage.

Update Everything

Install updates to keep your operating system, browsers, apps and antivirus software current. Enable automatic updates to help avoid account compromise.

Protect Your Accounts and Data

Use a password manager to create strong, unique passwords for every account and enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) wherever possible. Make sure to regularly back-up important files to protect against ransomware and hardware failure.
