Dear Homeowners,
Management has been notified of a bobcat sighting in the community near SRS-2 (Swan Lake), which is located between Inverness, Pebble Beach, and Cherry Hills on the Stadium side.
The animal was observed hunting ducks around the lake. Out of an abundance of caution, we highly recommend that residents follow the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's recommendations.
- Avoid feeding squirrels, birds or other wildlife that can attract bobcats to your property.
- Remove potential attractants - Keep pet food and water indoors.
- Do not leave small pets unattended outdoors - Bring dogs and cats in at night.
- Contact the Department of Fish and Game or Animal Control if the bobcat is seen again or appears to be injured or aggressive.
While bobcats are generally shy and avoid human interaction, they may return to areas where food or prey are readily available. Please exercise caution and remain aware of your surroundings when walking near the lakes or landscaped areas.
