The Flamingo House Opens In Downtown Boca
The Flamingo House officially opened in Downtown Boca Raton with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The Flamingo House is an "experiential shared workspace focused on balance and productivity."

  • PEBB Enterprises, in partnership with Contrarian Capital Management, has acquired the Meridian Office Center at 6601 Park of Commerce Boulevard for $29.85 million. The 131,680 sq. ft. building, which is 100% leased, sits on 11.14-acres in the Park at Broken Sound.

  • Office Depot agrees to sell is corporate HQ. GlobeSt.com reports, the 650,000 sq. ft. office building, which sits on 28.9 acres at 6600 N. Military Trail, was purchased by ODP in 2017 for $132.05 million. The price was not immediately disclosed.

  • Rosemurgy Properties broke ground on self-storage facility at 7021 N. Federal Highway. South Florida Business Journal reports, the three-story building will be a 121,019 sq. ft. facility and is expected to be completed in September, 2023. The 3.55-acre site was purchased in 2020 for $4.17 million.


  • Manor Broken Sound is completed. The six-story project has 297 apartments, including 36 villas with private garages. Situated on 11.5-acres at the park at 5400 Broken Sound Boulevard in the Park at Broken Sound. The project was designed by Boca based RLC Architects, developed by The Related Group and Rockpoint Group.

  • More on the Manor Broken Sound, the 297-rental unit property situated on 11.5 acres at 5400 Broken Sound Boulevard, completed this summer, sold for $194 million - equating to $650,000 per unit. As reported by The Real Deal.

Employment
Thanks to the efforts of Career Source of Palm Beach County
Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate, as reported on
August 19, 2022, dropped to 2.9 percent, below the year-ago rate of 4.6 percent.

PBC's rate is below the 3.8 percent national rate.

For more than a year, there are more job openings than unemployed people in Palm Beach County.
