Technology
for the deaf and hard of hearing
Imanyco, one of FAUs’ Tech Runway Venture Class 8 companies, has developed a technology solution for people with hearing disabilities. It uses audio processing and voice recognition technology to break down group discussions into text bubbles in real-time, color-coded by speaker, and delivers them to virtually any device. The result is that people with hearing loss can more easily follow, and contribute their thoughts to, multi-person conversations in easier ways than ever before.

Imanyco was co-founded by Saida Florexil who is deaf and has turned her disability into a startup business. As a first-time entrepreneur, it has taken a village to launch her startup, and she credits the early support of accelerators such as FAU Tech Runway, who provided mentoring, training, resources and access to local experts who helped her move beyond the idea stage. Imanyco was recently accepted to be one of AWS's 25 chosen startups as part of the first cohort of the AWS Impact Accelerator.

Just Announced: Imanyco has been selected to join the inaugural AWS Accelerator for black founders. They are the only company in Florida to receive this invitation.
