"Making Waves" Event
The Business of Yachting
The Office of Economic Development partnered with U.S. Trust and Illustrated Properties to present the "Making Waves" breakfast. The event featured an expert panel consisting of Lisa Verbit, U.S. Trust, National Yacht Sales; Steffen Bruenn, CEO Yachtico; and Captain Lee Rosbach, star of Bravo's Below Deck. The event was moderated by Kitty McGowan, President of the U.S. Superyacht Association.

The Boca Newspaper highlighted our Making Waves event in their
January, 2019 edition.
All three "Key Sales Transactions"
in Palm Beach County last quarter took place in
Boca Raton.
These commercial real estate deals included the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, ADT's headquarter building and 900 Broken Sound Parkway.

These sales equated to investments totaling $245,025,000.

Oasis Outsourcing has been named the new title sponsor of the Boca Raton Championship. The annual golf tournament draws thousands to Boca Raton each year and generates over $10 million to the economy.
This year the tournament will take place February 4-10th at the
Old Course at Broken Sound.

10th Best Neighborhood to Live in South Florida

Niche.com examined over 15,000 towns and neighborhoods and compared crime stats, public schools, cost of living and job opportunities and chose Boca Raton as the "10th Best Neighborhood to Live in South Florida" (out of over 15,000) in Florida. The data used to compare cities was taken directly from the U.S. Census Bureau the FBI, the Bureau of Labor and Statistic as well as millions of reviews from residents.
2018 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl
It was another great year for the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl.
ESPN reports an average viewership of over 1 million households.
The economic impact of the Bowl game is estimated at over $10 million.
Boca Raton highlighted in Forbes Magazine
Forbes magazine focused on Boca Raton's luxury development in it's November issue.
Boca Raton Resort & Club President John Tolbert Starred In Our National Commercial
The commercial aired nationally on ESPN during the
Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl and was viewed by over 1 million households.

327 Royal Palm Ribbon Cutting and celebrated the opening of their
impeccable residences in Downtown Boca.

Boca Business Briefs...
  • OrangeTheory Fitness was named the fastest growing franchise in the nation according to Franchise Times Top 200+, which ranks the top franchises in the U.S. by global system wide sales. In addition, they have partnered with the Boca Raton Resort and opened a pop up gym that will be available through April, 2019.

  • Four of the top 15 fastest growing technology companies in the region are headquartered in Boca Raton.

  • Miami Grill has relocated its corporate office from Fort Lauderdale to Boca Raton. They purchased their new space at 901 Clint Moore Road for $1.7 million.

  • Phoenix Tower International continues to grow at an incredible pace; they recently acquired 451 wireless communication tower sites from Digicel in Jamaica.

  • Finance site SmartAsset's recent study reports that Palm Beach County led the area in business grown. The number of businesses in the county increased 7.9% during the study period.

  • VAS Aero Services (a division of Volvo) renewed their 113,000 sq. ft. lease in The Park at Broken Sound

  • Winfield Plaza, located at 2001, 2151, 2811 and 2201 N. Federal Highway was purchased by Investments Limited, LLC for $13.1 million.

  • The apartment complex located at 1202 & 1300 SW 1st Avenue and 1150 SE 2nd Avenue sold to Boca Islands East for $16.8 million.

  • The office building located at 7001 N. Federal Hwy., which sits on 1.4 acres, sold to BMY Holdings, LLC for $3 million.

  • The 93,260 office building located at 6111 NW Broken Sound Parkway, which sits on 8 acres, fold for $21.4 million.

  • TherapeuticsMD leased a new 56,000 sq. ft. headquarter space at 951 Yamato Road. In addition, they have also been named the David J. Gury Company of the Year at the BioFlorida Conference.

  • Warehouse Good Inc. purchased the 50,000 sq ft. office building at 1095 NW Broken Sound Parkway, in the Park at Broken Sound for $10 million. The will be relocating their corporate headquarters to the third floor of the building.

  • Boca based ADT announced its plans to purchase Boca based Red Hawk Fire & Security for $317.5 million in cash.

  • Luxury real estate firm, The Agency, has selected Boca Raton for its first South Florida location. The will be conducting business at 20 SE 3rd Street.

  • Local drink maker, Celsius Holdings secured a distribution deal with Anheuser-Busch and PepsiCo networks.
