Due to the severe thunderstorms that occurred last night, portions of the Village of Fonda Water System located outside the Village experienced power and communication outages that may have affected water system operations.

This advisory applies ONLY to the following areas outside the Village of Fonda:

• Hickory Hill Road: Properties from 2347 through 2023 Hickory Hill Road

• Martin Road: Properties from 2024 through 351 Martin Road

The entire Village of Fonda water system within the Village limits was not affected and is NOT under a boil water advisory.

Customers in the affected areas listed above should bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, or preparing food to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute before use. Bottled water may also be used.

Bottled water is available for affected customers at the Fonda Department of Public Works, 8 E. Main Street, Fonda. To arrange pickup, please contact the Village Clerk at (518) 853-4335 or email villageclerk@villageoffonda.ny.gov.

This advisory is being issued as a precaution until water quality testing confirms the water is safe for consumption. Once satisfactory laboratory results are received, the Village will issue a notice lifting the advisory.
