Welcome Aboard
The Mestek Boiler Group welcomes Powers of Arkansas as our new manufacturer's representative for our ATH, RBI and Smith Cast Iron Boilers product lines in the territory of Arkansas, Western Tennessee, and Tunica and Southaven, Mississippi.

As the largest HVAC company in the state, Powers of Arkansas is dedicated to creating customers for life. Headquartered in North Little Rock, AK with 5 additional locations, the solution based company has over 200 employees and 100 service trucks.
Executive Vice President Scott Smith referred to the Mestek Boiler Group as an ideal fit for Powers of Arkansas. “We were looking to further expand the depth of our hydronic product offerings. Between the brands of RBI, ATH and Smith Boilers, we can provide the answer to any application a customer could possibly have," Smith said. “That is something we just could not get anywhere else,” he added.

Everything needed to understand and utilize HeatNet is now located on our brand new website. The website offers clear and comprehensive explanations of the features and benefits of HeatNet as well as a full library of piping diagrams. All available updates and access to HeatNet Online make the new website your total source for all things related to HeatNet.

Despite the unexpected travel bans and constraints being enacted nationwide due to COVID-19, we are hopeful that our Reed Institute training will proceed as planned. We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that all our employees and business partners remain safe. With that said, we are looking forward to an exciting year of training ahead of us!

Technical Service Classes
Our Reed Institute product specific hands-on Technical Service classes are scheduled to kick off next month at our state-of-the-art classroom and live-fire lab. Designed for individuals on the technical service side of the business, this class teaches everything needed to properly start-up, service and maintain peak efficiency of boilers and water heaters under the
Advanced Thermal Hydronics
and
RBI
brands.

During this two-day training, classroom time will be spent covering boiler theory and design features. Hands-on time in the lab will cover all components, start-up and troubleshooting procedures. Attendees will learn how to identify and correct common issues associated with modern boiler systems including venting, combustion, electrical and control issues. Additional time will be spent on in-depth live-fire tutorials on our HeatNet integrated control platform.

Applications Training
Engineers, as well as individuals on the design/build side of the business will benefit from
our Boiler Efficiency Applications seminars. Available in major cities across the nation, these classroom-based seminars teach attendees how to master the relationship between boiler efficiency and system performance.
This full day class provides the tools needed to design and operate a boiler system for higher efficiency and lower operational costs. Topics covered include system design, venting, controls, combustion pumps and annual maintenance.
Attendees can earn up to 8 hours of Professional Development Hours (PDH).

Our Reed Institute training facility in Mississiauga, Ontario recently received a complete equipment upgrade which including the replacement of all VFD pumps. All units have been upgraded to new configurations including the Sika vortex flow sensors and updated HeatNet 3.0 protocol allowing units to communicate across both the RBI and Advanced Thermal Hydronics brands in a master / member configuration.
