Administrative Appointments
Boise, ID -- 03/10/2022 -- Boise School District announces the following administrative appointments for the 2022-2023 school year, effective July 1, 2022.
Shelley Bonds - Principal, Maple Grove Elementary School 

Shelley Bonds has served Idaho’s public school students for nineteen years. During that time, she has worked as a teacher, instructional coach, building leader (Principal, Endeavor Elementary, Nampa, ID, 2008-2015); and District leader in the Nampa School District (Director of Federal Programs/Curriculum & Instruction, 2015-2017; and Executive Director of Elementary Schools/Mental Health & Wellness, 2017 to present).  
 
Ms. Bonds has demonstrated experience serving as a strong instructional leader, supporting systems implementation, and effectively supporting behavior management and trauma programs in school environments. In addition, she has significant experience in leading collective efficacy and agency, data-driven instruction and evidenced-based growth outcomes. She believes that each and every student is capable of growing and learning. She supports teachers, parents and students in fostering a growth mindset that leads to success for all students. Principal Bonds is a collaborative instructional leader who works well with staff, families and the school community. She is focused and committed to preparing students for success in college, career and in life.  
 
Ms. Bonds earned a Bachelor Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Elementary Education from Eastern Oregon University, a Master Degree in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix and is currently seeking a Master Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Nichole Caropino - Special Education Supervisor

Nichole Caropino has served public school students in Idaho for 11 years. During that time, she has worked in a wide variety of school-level and district-level positions, including Special Education Paraprofessional (Garfield & Hillcrest elementaries, 2011-2013); Extended Resource Room Teacher (Wilson Elementary, Caldwell School District, 2013-2014); 6th Grade Teacher (Boise School District Summer School, Hawthorne Elementary, 2017); Special Education Structured Learning Center Teacher (Boise School District Summer School, Hawthorne Elementary, 2014 & 2016); Adjunct Instructor (Northwest Nazarene University, 2017 to present); Structured Learning Center (SLC) Special Education Teacher (White Pine Elementary, 2014 to 2019); Resource Room Special Education Teacher (Collister & Highlands elementaries (2019 to 2020 to present); and Boise School District Services Center Special Education Instructional Support Staff (2020 to current).  

Ms. Caropino is a well-respected instructional leader who has demonstrated experience in the knowledge of the laws, rules, procedures and programs specifically related to the operation of special education programs. She relates well to staff, students and parents in a way that conveys equality, mutual respect and concern for the well being of all. Ms. Caropino is skilled in developing and presenting District professional development on a wide variety of topics. She is a dedicated and committed professional educator who believes all children can learn and be successul. 

Ms. Caropino earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University, a Master of Education Degree in Special Education from Boise State University and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership, Director of Special Education Endorsement, from Boise State University.
Jennifer Combs - Principal, Roosevelt Elementary School
 
Jennifer Combs has served public school students since 1996. During that time she has worked as a 3rd & 4th Grade Teacher (Camas, WA, 1996-2000), 4th Grade Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2000 - 2002), Title 1 Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2002-2010), 2nd Grade Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2010-2015), and Integration Specialist (Boise School District, 2015 - 2019), Interim Assistant Principal (Les Bois Junior High School, 2018-2019), Summer School Principal (Lowell Elementary School, Boise School District, 2018 -2019); and Assistant Principal (East Junior High School, Boise School District, 2019 to present). 
 
Principal Combs is a dynamic educational leader with demonstrated capabilities in professional development, curriculum integration, and guiding teachers through the collaborative process. She has served on numerous site-based and District level committees, been a member of ELA and Math curriculum writing teams, as well as serving on building leadership teams. She is proven to be a dedicated and resourceful professional, committed to providing all students a rich learning environment to learn and achieve their goals. Principal Combs believes each and every student can learn and she instills that belief in the students she serves and staff members she leads. She is dedicated to the District’s Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and citizenship. 
 
Principal Combs earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Washington State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from City University of Seattle and an Educational Specialist Degree in Education Administration from Northwest Nazarene University.  
Carly Deeds - Principal, Koelsch Elementary School
 
Carly Deeds is a ten year veteran of education. During that time, she has served as a kindergarten teacher (Grace Jordan/Morley Nelson, 2012-2016), 3rd Grade Teacher (Grace Jordan, 2016-2018), 6th Grade Teacher (Grace Jordan, 2018-2020), and Assistant Principal, White Pine/Whittier Elementary Schools (2020 to present). She’s also served as administrative designee for two years, technology building lead and curriculum building lead for three years, and team member for positive behavior intervention support. She reorganized Grace Jordan Elementary School’s Problem Solving Intervention procedures and referral process.
 
Principal Deeds is a highly motivated, strategic thinker with experience in differentiated lesson design and instruction. She is focused on educational growth with a commitment to providing a first class experience to students, families and team members. As an instructional leader, Principal Deeds believes all students can learn and she instills that belief in the students she serves and the staff members she leads.  
 
Principal Deeds has demonstrated experience building a positive and constructive school culture where students, families and staff members are supported. She has been actively involved in student/family engagement (Girls with Grace Running Club, Everyday Leaders and Partnership Action Team - all programs that provide constructive learning and enrichment opportunities for students). Principal Deeds is dedicated to providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals and supports the District’s Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and citizenship.
 
Principal Deeds earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Boise State University, and Master of Educational Leadership, Principal Endorsement (K-12) from Boise State University. 
Pamela Dietz - Principal, North Junior High School 
 
Pamela Dietz has served public school students in Idaho since 2005. During her 17 year public school career, Ms. Dietz has worked as an education paraprofessional (Borah High School - 2005-06), Social Studies Instructor (Eagle High School - 2006-07 and Borah High School - 2007-14), K-12 District Integration Specialist (2014 to 2017), Assistant Principal for both Riverside Elementary and Grace Jordan Elementary (2017-18) and Assistant Principal at Frank Church High School (2018-2019) and Principal (Koelsch Elementary School, 2019 to present).
 
Principal Dietz is dedicated to the Boise School District's Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and in citizenship. She is a strong advocate for all students, including diverse student populations. Principal Dietz has a strong record of building positive and effective relationships with students, parents, staff members and community members. She believes all students can learn and she instills that belief in the students she serves and the staff members she leads. She is a well-respected and knowledgeable educator focused on providing excellent education opportunities for each and every student. She is committed to the District’s Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and citizenship.  
 
Principal Dietz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Lewis-Clark State College, Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho. 
Jeff Roberts - Principal, Dennis Technical Education Center  
 
Jeff Roberts has served Boise School District students for nearly 20 years. During that time, he has worked as a junior high school principal (North, 2015 to present); elementary school principal (Shadow Hills - 2013 - 2015; Adams - 2010-2013); summer school site coordinator (2009); intern elementary school principal (Amity & Jefferson - 2009, 2010); and elementary school teacher (Taft - 2005-09).  
 
Mr. Roberts focuses on creating a school culture that is conducive to successful learning for each and every student. He is committed to creating a positive academic environment by working effectively with parents and staff members to build strong relationships for the benefit of each and every child. Principal Roberts believes each and every student can learn and instills that same belief in his instructional and school support staff members. Mr. Roberts is a respected instructional leader who believes in using evidence-based-decision-making to support educational initiatives to improve student learning. He is also committed to the District's Vision of preparing each child for success in college, career and citizenship.  
 
Principal Roberts earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University and a Master Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.
Rebecca Severson - Principal, Whitney Elementary School 
 
Rebecca Severson has served children in the Boise School District as an educator since 2011. During that time she has worked as a long-term substitute teacher (2011-12 - 5th grade, Riverside Elementary), kindergarten teacher (2012-15 - Whitney Elementary), first grade teacher (2015-17 - Whitney Elementary), principal (2016 & 2017 - Summer School), elementary assistant principal (Horizon Elementary 2017-18) and principal, (Roosevelt Elementary 2018 to present).
 
Principal Severson is a collaborative educator who works well with parents, students and fellow staff members. She has a strong record of establishing collaborative school goals and then supporting staff and students in their efforts to achieve those goals. She is also a strong advocate for the use of technology in the classroom to enhance learning opportunities for students. Principal Severson embraces change that improves education for students. She readily utilizes District resources for curriculum and support to ensure that each and every student has an opportunity to succeed. She is dedicated to the District's Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and in life.
 
Principal Severson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Education Leadership.
