Rich Clements - Assistant Principal, Capital High School
Rich Clements is an education professional who has served students for 30 years. During this time, he has served as Principal at Les Bois Junior High School (2015 to present) and Assistant Principal at Borah High School (2013-2015). As a classroom instructor, Mr. Clements taught Timberline High School students a variety of subjects, including Japanese, Psychology, Sociology and American Government (1998-2013).
He also served as Timberline's Foreign Language Department Chair from 2001 to 2007 and helped compose curriculum for Japanese I, II and II. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Clements taught students at Bonneville High School (Idaho Falls, ID) in U.S. History and World History and also developed Japanese curriculum and Psychology curriculum. From 1991 to 1995, Rich taught Social Studies at Raft River High School (Malta, ID). In addition to teaching, he has coached basketball, football, softball and served as an assistant athletic director.
He is committed to open communication with parents, staff, students and the entire school community. He is focused on offering excellent educational opportunities to each student so they may succeed in life, including in college and in career and in citizenship.
Mr. Clements earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Brigham Young University in 1991 and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho in 2013.
