Andrea Geraghty, Supervisor of Social Work & Community Mental Health Partnerships
Boise School District is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Supervisor of Social Work and Community Mental Health Partnerships position. This new position will oversee the District's efforts to provide support for students and families dealing with mental health issues. Andrea Geraghty, a ten year veteran in the Boise School District, with extensive professional experience, educational background and a longstanding commitment to supporting our District students and families, will serve in this new position.
Ms. Geraghty has a rich history of experience working in a variety of community and school settings, first in Portland, Oregon and now in Boise:
- Lead Boise School District Social Worker, 2020-present
- Boise School District School Social Worker, 2013-2020
- St. Luke's Neurobehavioral Medicine, 2013-2015
- Ada County Juvenile Court Services, Diversion Clinician, 2010-2013
- Serendipity Center, Portland OR Clinical Case Manager, 2007-2010
Ms. Geraghty will be responsible for coordinating with community mental health providers, District social workers, and other school staff to ensure that students receive the care and support they need. This appointment is part of Boise School District's ongoing commitment to addressing the mental health needs of our students & families and providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all. We welcome Supervisor Geraghty to her new position and look forward to the positive impact that she will have on our school community serving in this new role.
Ms. Geraghty earned her Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon; and a Master Degree in Social Work from Portland State University, Portland, OR.
