Administrative Appointments

Boise, ID - 04/23/2019 - Boise School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments, effective July 1, 2019 for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.

Hannah Courtright - Principal, Washington Elementary School

Hannah Courtright has served the students of the Boise School District since 2007. During that time she has supported students by working as a Social Studies Teacher (BSD Summer School at Capital & Timberline Highs, 2007-10; Riverglen Jr. High, 2007-2016), Summer School Assistant Principal (Frank Church High School, 2015), and Assistant Principal (North Junior High School, 2016 - present). As an assistant principal, she works closely with the principal to create a safe and positive learning climate, assists in the selection and hiring of staff, conducts classroom and teacher observations, and assists with the preparation and oversight of the school’s budget.

Ms. Courtright is a knowledgeable and skilled education professional who holds high expectations for herself and those she works alongside. She has valuable school leadership experience and is committed to providing an excellent educational program for all students in order to prepare them for success in college, career and citizenship. Ms. Courtright is an educational leader who supports a positive school culture of collaboration founded on the District's values of Respect, Dignity, Honesty, Responsibility and Teamwork. She works well with parents and students and shares a passion for public education that shows in her commitment to student success.

Ms. Courtright earned a Bachelor Degree in Political Science/Social Science Secondary Education with a Minor in Spanish from Boise State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.

Jennifer Combs - Assistant Principal, East Junior High School

Jennifer Combs has served public school students since 1996. During that time she has worked as a 3rd & 4th Grade Teacher (Camas, WA, 1996-2000), 4th Grade Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2000 - 2002), Title 1 Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2002-2010), 2nd Grade Teacher (Whitney Elementary, Boise School District, 2010-2015), and Integration Specialist (Boise School District, 2015 - 2019), Interim Assistant Principal (Les Bois Junior High School, 2018-2019), and Summer School Principal (Lowell Elementary School, Boise School District, 2018 - present).

Ms. Combs is a dynamic educational leader with demonstrated capabilities in professional development, curriculum integration, and guiding teachers through the collaborative process. She has served on numerous site-based and District level committees, been a member of ELA and Math curriculum writing teams, as well as serving on building leadership teams. She is proven to be a dedicated and resourceful professional, committed to providing all students a rich learning environment to learn and achieve their goals.

Ms. Combs earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Washington State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from City University of Seattle and an Educational Specialist Degree in Education Administration from Northwest Nazarene University.

Wendi Forrey - Principal, White Pine Elementary School

Wendi Forrey has successfully served as an educator in the Boise School District since 1993. During her 26 year career in education she has served as an elementary teacher (1993-2003), Title 1 Teacher (2003-2006), Federal Programs Consultant (2006-2013) and current Principal of Washington Elementary School (2013-2019).

Principal Forrey is a confident, positive, energetic professional who is committed to supporting educational excellence in the Boise School District. To this end, she has served as a professional development trainer in support of the District’s Strategic Plan, including serving as a Look 2 Learning Trainer, Boise Instructional Model Trainer, Instructional Coach, and Professional Learning Community 4 REAL Trainer.

Principal Forrey also has extensive professional development experience with Boise School District’s Professional Development Modules, including Objectives, Thinking Levels, High Yield Strategies, Collaboration and the Boise Instructional Model. She currently serves on the District’s Insurance Committee, a committee tasked with evaluating and monitoring the District’s financial and health benefits.

She is dedicated to the District’s Vision of preparing each student for success in college, career and in life. To that end, she fosters strong parental involvement and supports a nurturing and safe school environment where each and every student can succeed.

Principal Forrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Boise State University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho.

Andy Horning - Assistant Principal, Boise High School

Mr. Horning has served public school students in the Treasure Valley since 2002. He is an experienced and well-respected educator who has served in a wide variety of roles during his public school career.

He has worked as a Physical Science Teacher/Coach (Eagle Middle School, West Ada School District, 2002-2004), Physical Science Teacher/Coach (Sawtooth Middle School, West Ada School District, 2004-2005), Earth Science Teacher/Coach (Meridian High School, West Ada School District, 2005-2008), Principal (Summer School, West Ada School District, 2006-2008), Assistant Principal (Rocky Mountain High School, West Ada School District, 2008-2013), Principal (Middleton School District, 2013-2017), Part Time Instructor (University of Idaho, Boise, 2016), and Assistant Superintendent (Middleton School District, 2017 - present).

Mr. Horning is dedicated to seeing that each and every child has the opportunity to succeed in school and beyond - whether that’s in college, career or in life. He has extensive experience in building positive and supportive relationships with students, staff and parents through a collaborative approach that values and supports each individual.

Mr. Horning earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education (Physical Education, Health and Natural Science) from the University of Idaho, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership (Superintendency) from the University of Idaho.

Drew Lingle - Assistant Principal, North Junior High School

Drew Lingle has served students in the Boise School District since 2001. During that time he has worked as a Social Studies Teacher and Coach (West Junior High School, 2006 - 2008), Social Studies Teacher and AVID Teacher (Fairmont Junior High School, 2008-2014), District AVID Consulting Teacher (2014 - 2017), Western Division AVID Consultant (2015 - 2017), and Assistant Principal (East Junior High School, 2017 - present).

Mr. Lingle has also been active in athletics throughout his career and has coached basketball and track at the elementary school level and tennis, basketball, football and track at the junior high school level. Mr. Lingle has served as the Athletic Director of Fairmont.

As an AVID Consulting teacher, Mr. Lingle provided professional development in the best instructional practices for teachers K-12 and AVID-specific training to teachers, administrators and counselors. He has supervised and evaluated AVID Elective and content teachers on their use of AVID instructional strategies, assisted school teams with their AVID Site Plans and helped coordinate Summer Institute attendance. He has also helped to develop AVID components of the District's Strategic Plan.

Mr. Lingle is committed to the Boise District's vision of supporting all students as they pursue the rigorous coursework and master the personal skills necessary to thrive in college, career and life.

Mr. Lingle obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in History and Education from the University of Idaho in 2005 and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho in 2012.

Trevor McKenna - Assistant Principal, Borah High School

Trevor McKenna has served students in Idaho since 2008. During his public school career, Mr. McKenna has served students in a variety of capacities, including working as Lead Teacher for a hybrid alternative school that he helped plan and launch, Special Education/Extended Algebra 1 Teacher (Idaho Virtual Academy - 2008-13), Special Education Teacher/Extended School Year Consulting Teacher (Mountain View High - 2013-14), Special Education Teacher (Les Bois Jr. High - 2014-16), Assistant Principal, Alternative Summer High School (Boise School District - 2016 to 2017), Special Education Teacher (Fairmont Jr. High - 2016 - 2017) and Assistant Principal (Boise High School - 2017- present). Mr. McKenna has also served on the Boise District's Junior High PLC committee, the District Calendar committee, the Special Education Compliance Team and he also has experience coaching football, basketball and track.

Mr. McKenna cultivates a school culture of trust and accountability among students, staff and families. He advocates for the success of all students and works collaboratively with all stakeholders to see that students have every opportunity to succeed academically and socially. He works well with staff members to see that they have the resources, support and feedback necessary to succeed. Mr. McKenna is dedicated to the Boise School District's Vision of preparing each and every student for success in college, career and in life.

Mr. McKenna earned his Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Boise State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.

Diana Molino - Assistant Principal, Timberline High School

Diana Molino has served Idaho’s public school students since 1994. During that time she has worked as a 4th and 5th Grade Teacher (Jefferson Elementary School, Pocatello School District, 1994-2004), 5th and 6th Grade Teacher (White Pine Charter School, Idaho Falls, ID, 2004-2007), Assistant Principal/Language Arts Teacher, Grades 6-8 (White Pine Charter School, Idaho Falls, ID, 2007-2008), Principal (Ethel Boyes Elementary School, Idaho Falls, ID, 2008-2014), Assistant Principal (Idaho Falls High School, Idaho Falls, ID, 2014-2016), and Principal (Nampa High School, Nampa School District, 2016 - present).

Ms. Molino is passionate about collaborating with fellow educators, students and their families to develop innovative practices and successful outcomes for students. She is dedicated to preparing each and every student for success in school and beyond - whether that’s college, career or in life.

Ms. Molino earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Idaho State University, a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Idaho State University and is currently working toward an Educational Specialist Degree in Executive Educational Leadership from Boise State University.
