Welcome, Class of 2038!

Boise, ID -- 02/28/2025-- Boise School District will hold Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 school year at all of our elementary schools on Thursday, March 6, 2025:

  • 3:45 - 5:30 PM (regular start schools)
  • 4:00 - 5:45 PM (late start schools: Lowell, Whittier, Amity, Hawthorne, Hillcrest, Morley Nelson, Shadow Hills, Riverside, Dallas Harris)

Please plan on attending this fun and interactive time at your child's boundary school!  If you are not sure which school is your child’s boundary school, please visit the boundary locator on the Boise Schools website. If you are planning on applying for Open Enrollment at a school that is not your child's boundary school, you will still need to attend the Kindergarten Registration at your child's boundary school.

Parents will need to bring:

  • The child that is entering into kindergarten for the 2025 2026 school year
  • The child’s birth certificate
  • The child’s immunization record
  • Proof of Residency (a power bill is recommended)

To save time on March 6, please have your enrollment paperwork filled out and bring it with you to the registration. You may use the online registration system if you do not wish to fill out paperwork.

This is a fun and interactive opportunity for families to visit their child’s neighborhood school, meet teachers, and ensure they’re ready for kindergarten. We want to make sure every family in our community is aware of the registration process and the resources available to them. For more information, please visit our 2025 Kindergarten Registration webpage.
