Winter Weather Procedures
Education is important and every missed day of school represents lost learning opportunities. However, Boise School District’s primary concern is for the safety of all students, including students riding busses and walking or biking to school. If students cannot safely travel to school or if schools are not able to operate safely because of citywide dangerous weather conditions, school may be cancelled. Watch the following video to learn more about Boise School District's Inclement Weather Procedures.
Holiday Card Contest Award Recipients
Each year, Boise School District holds a holiday card art contest for students in the District. The contest is generally held in conjunction with the Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees. Unfortunately, the Festival was cancelled this year, but the District opted to hold the art contest because it is such a popular event. Watch the following video to learn which students' artwork was chosen for this year's holiday art contest.
Yes, I Can! Award Recipients
The Yes, I Can! Awards Program was established in Idaho to celebrate the achievements of children and youth with disabilities, to encourage children and youth with disabilities to seek their highest potential, and to increase public awareness of the abilities, aspirations, and personal qualities of people with disabilities. Watch the following video to learn which students were chosen for this year's Yes, I Can Awards.
Red & Golden Apple Award Recipients
Each month during the school year, the Boise School Board honors deserving teachers and support staff through the District's highest awards program - the Red Apple Award for teachers and the Golden Apple Award for classified employees. To learn who was selected to receive these awards for the month of December 2021, watch the following video.
