Live Link for Upcoming Graduations
Boise School District congratulates our 2021 high school graduates! Each graduation ceremony will be live streamed for public viewing. 

Graduation ceremonies held at ExtraMile Arena will be at 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:
 
  • May 24, 2021 - Borah High School
  • May 25, 2021 - Capital High School
  • May 26, 2021 - Timberline High School
  • May 27, 2021 - Boise High School
 
Frank Church High School will hold their graduation at 4:30 p.m., May 26, 2021 at the high school.

Students Age 12+ Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine

Boise School District is partnering with St. Luke's to provide COVID-19 mobile vaccination clinics to students age 12 & older now that they are eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination.  The clinics provide voluntary access to the COVID-19 vaccine and are also open to the community.

Student Artwork Selected as Idaho Finalist
Taelyn Baiza (@taelyncreations), 9th grade, North Jr. High, is the selected Idaho finalist for the 2021 "Celebrate the West" high school art competition hosted by the Western Governors' Association. Taelyn's artwork advances to the final round of judging against other Western state & U.S. territory winners in June. Taelyn used colored pencil to create her artwork entitled Rocky Mountain Wildlife.

Love Is The Way
Adams Elementary students recently got a hands-on lesson in spreading kindness & love by participating in an inspirational art project that now graces the wall of northeast Boise's M&W Market. Thanks to M&W for their permission & 1st grade Teacher Sarah Poste for organizing this project.
Idaho Academic Sports Champions
Idaho High School Activities Association announces the 2021 Spring Sports Academic State Champions - presented to the varsity team in each classification that achieves the highest cumulative grade point average. Congrats to Boise, Borah & Timberline! 

  • Boise High School, Boys Track Team: Grade Point Average - 3.800
  • Borah High School, Girls Golf Team: Grade Point Average - 3.915
  • Timberline High School, Baseball Team: Grade Point Average - 3.686

Student-Athletes Take 3rd at Nationals
For only the second time ever, Idaho sent a girls hockey team to Nationals and for the first time the team included girls from the Boise School District, including Elan Forde, a junior at Boise High School; Bryn Haugen, a freshman at Boise High School (North Jr. High); Suzi Vidmar, a sophomore at Timberline High School; Olivia Cooper, a sophomore at Timberline High School; Abby Lawler, a freshman at Timberline High School (East Jr. High); and Irelyn McKernan, a freshman at Timberline (East Jr. High). Nationals began April 29 and ran through May 3. The team took 3rd place in the nation!

STEM-To-Them
Our students don't just learn science, they do science! Thanks, @IDoTeach_BSU for creating & distributing 500 STEM-To-Them-Kits for 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders at Taft, Whittier & Whitney Elementary schools. The kits contain everything students need to do hands-on science at home!
