Students Age 16+ Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine

With students age 16 & older now eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination, we encourage eligible students who are able to get the free COVID-19 vaccine to do so as soon as possible. By doing so, you’ll not only protect yourself and others, but you’ll also help ensure we can keep students in school.

District Health Supervisor Wins TWIN Award
Tamara Fredrickson, Health Supervisor for the Boise School District, was recently honored with a Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award. The TWIN Award is given to outstanding professional women in our community by organizations that celebrate their leadership and strength positions. It is an elite group of over 1,100 leaders who represent a wide range of industries and careers. Due to the pandemic, this year’s TWIN Awards celebration was virtual and aired on April 15, 2021.

Schools Receive City Excellence Awards
The City of Boise announced that Pierce Park Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Highland Elementary, and Maple Grove Elementary were nominated and won the award for Excellence in Modernization of School Buildings for the 2021 Building Excellence Awards program! Highlands, Mountain View and Pierce Park are new schools completed this school year. Maple Grove added a new classroom wing and gymnasium and was dedicated in November of 2019. These projects were made possible thanks to Boise voters' passage of the 2017 bond election.   • June 1-25: Secondary Summer School - Semester 1
  • June 28 - July 23: Secondary Summer School - Semester 2
