Boise School District Pauses Junior High Girls Basketball Season
Boise, ID -- 11/02/2020 -- In conjunction with last week’s Southern Idaho Conference decision to delay the start of high school winter sports, Boise School District today announced that it will pause the girls junior high school basketball season until November 16th.
The girls junior high school basketball season got underway October 14th, but in light of last Friday’s SIC guidelines for high school, the girls junior high school basketball season will now pause for two weeks and resume on November 16th.
In making the announcement, the District said it is committed to ensuring that student athletes can practice and play in controlled and safe environments. The District will continue to monitor, evaluate and adjust its programs, including athletics, in consultation with Central District health and medical providers. Any further adjustments needed to the winter athletics season will be announced by the District at a later date.
