A newly developed musical featuring an ensemble cast of 29 young singers and dancers from across the United States will make three stops in Ohio on its 50-plus city tour with a Cleveland appearance March 15 at the Mimi Ohio Theatre in downtown Cleveland. Called "Hits!

The Music for Food concert scheduled for Feb. 13 to benefit the Cleveland Kosher Food Pantry was canceled due to a security threat on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

More than 150 people attended the PJ Library's Grandparent Magical Mitzvah Party Feb. 12 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building in Beachwood. Attendees enjoyed a buffet breakfast and were entertained by magician Bob Lapp as he dazzled children and adults alike.

Heartwood Coffee Roasters plans to open a new cafe at Pinecrest in Orange this spring. "The Pinecrest community has consistently asked for a Heartwood Coffee location," Adam Fishman, Fairmount Properties principal, said in a news release. "They are recognized as a best-in-class coffee shop with carefully curated roasted coffee options and locally sourced food from Heartwood Baking Co.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Monday called for the protest movement against the government's judicial reform proposal to move to the next stage, one fueled by violent confrontation. “What is needed is to move to the next stage, the stage of war, and war is not waged with speeches. War is waged in a face-to-face battle, head-to-head and hand-to-hand, and that is what will happen here,” he said in an interview with DemocraTV, according to Israel National News.

“The entire people of Israel followed your rescue operation with great excitement. You went on behalf of the country and you brought great honor to the State of Israel. We saw you in action in the cold, in difficult conditions around the clock in the most sacred work a person can do—saving the lives of others. ‘Whoever saves one soul’—you know the rest. You saved 19 worlds,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple will participate in "Repro Shabbat" at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 17 alongside congregations around the country in partnership with the National Council of Jewish Women.
