Director’s Note

Dear Senior Center Friends,

Our first heat wave of the season is here! I hope you are enjoying a little fresh air none-the-less. Remember, there can be sudden storms rolling in and we are now in hurricane season, so any preparation you can take now is always a good thing!

Many of you have asked how I am. Thank you all for the well wishes. To answer a few of the frequently asked questions: Yes, I am having a girl. She is expected in early August or whenever she sees fit to make her appearance. Yes, I will be away for a few weeks but will be returning in the fall. The Senior Center will be in good hands with Stephanie, Pam and Karen during that time.

And yes, we hear you, we know you are all very eager to return. We look forward to that day as well and are in the middle of lots of preparations. More information will be coming very soon.  We will keep you posted! In the meantime, yes, we are fully staffed and many of our programs like transportation and food pantry never stopped. So please give us a call any time or ring the doorbell during open hours and we are happy to help you out.

Stay Safe,

Carrie
Stephanie’s Note

Hi Everyone!

Another year has passed and it is again time for me to move over to the Recreation Department for the summer to run summer camp! For anyone who might be confused why- I am the program coordinator here in Bolton, and I split my time between the Senior Center and the Recreation department during the year. During the summer we hold an 8 week summer camp, and I move over to be full-time in the Recreation department to run it! Rest assured, I will be back to working at the Senior Center in mid-August.

I hope you all have a lovely and healthy summer! I don’t know about you, but I am excited to see what summer will bring!

-      Stephanie
