Dear Friends-

In response to the updated COVID-19 policy by Governor Northam, and guided by the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church Response to Updated Governor's Order, the Bon Air United Methodist Church Post COVID Re-Entry Group has adopted an updated policy for facemasks.
Effective this Saturday,
May 29, 2021:

Persons who are fully vaccinated and children under the age of five (5) are no longer required to wear masks inside the Bon Air United Methodist church building. This includes indoor and outdoor worship services and church activities on the property.

Fully vaccinated persons are defined as those who have completed their vaccine shot cycle at least 14 days previously.

Those persons who are not yet vaccinated, including children age five (5) and older, should continue to wear facemasks at this time in all church facilities.

Social distancing guidelines and capacity requirements continue to be in effect; As we continue to re-open, we will keep you updated on any changes to our policies here at Bon Air UMC.

I have included links to vaccination information, and documentation of the Executive Order and Conference Response, below.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me by e-mail at mikemayton@vaumc.org, or by call or text at 757-876-9784.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
Pastor Mike
