A Note from Scott and Marsha
June 30, 2022
Here is your PSA (Public Service Announcement) for the day: Tomorrow is July, which marks the middle of the year, which means we are officially sliding into Christmas. You're welcome :)

This weekend is a different holiday (of course we are excited for Christmas but we aren't totally crazy... yet) and we'll be spending the weekend with good food, loved ones, and maybe even some fireworks shows. We hope you have some amazing plans this coming holiday weekend and celebrate in style!

I wish I could say we are celebrating wholeheartedly, but sadly, we are not. Why, you ask?

Nick is leaving us. He is abandoning ship, cutting it short, taking off, peace out...
bye Felicia.

Can you believe he would leave us to go back to school to become an architect at NC State?! Kids these days. How dare he have dreams, desires, and reach for the stars?! Insert my eye roll here.

I kid, I kid. Nick has worked alongside AmberLeigh as our Client Care Assistant. They have laughed every day, solved problems, and AmberLeigh has even eaten her lunch on his desk. Every day. Sometimes the office staff join in too! Nick and AmberLeigh are two peas in a pod. It really is the cutest, especially when he calls her "Grandma" with her knitted blankets always at hand.

For the last couple weeks, I have taken it upon myself to keep track of how many more hours he works with us. He won't leave until July 29. Every other day, I ask "The Google" how many more hours until his last day, which I then emphatically and loudly announce to the office.

Recently, I walked quietly into their space since AmberLeigh was on the phone. I whispered, "Nick. Can you Google something for me real quick?"

Naturally, he responds, "Of course."

He immediately puts his hands on the computer ready to type.

Whispering, I say, "How many (click, click, click on the keys) hours until (clickity, click, click his fingers fly) ... July 29th?" Literally dying as I receive the death stare.

I'm not sure what AmberLeigh, Dylan and I are going to do with ourselves. At the same time, we are excited for his next adventure and maybe, just maybe, he can design something for me in years to come!

In the mean time, if you are looking for an adventure, we are always hiring for the best and brightest, plant loving people! And I can honestly tell you we do our best to have fun every day. Otherwise, what is the point?
