Air conditioning, technology updates and other improvements
underway at Holmes Elementary School, Bancroft Middle School and Avalon K-12 School are scheduled to complete this year, bringing
the number of schools upgraded with Measure E funds to 34. 

Over the next two years, shade structures that double as open-air learning spaces will be installed at nearly all District schools. The structures protect students from harmful UV rays, cut down heat radiated from asphalt and reduce the heat island effect.

New striping for outdoor courts underway at Tincher Preparatory Academy (K-8), Washington Middle School and Rogers Middle School will cap the installation of pickleball courts at all middle, K-8 and high schools in the District.

Local contractors and vendors interested in working on upcoming LBUSD school renovation and construction projects are invited to attend an outreach fair at Browning High School.
