From the Chairman of the Board
The Bonita Springs Estero EDC recognizes the hard work of Bonita Springs City Staff and we congratulate them on the progress they've made toward securing an inter-local agreement with Lee County to redevelop the Downtown Bonita area. We all recognize the need for attention, smart planning, and investment (both public and private) in the oldest sector of the city. The flavor of the downtown area, combined with its river access and award winning parks, make this agreement a unique opportunity to improve quality of life for all in the area. City Manager Carl Schwing and his team have constructed what we recognize will be an exemplary model for public / private investment. Many in the business community are poised to respond with development ideas based on the long-range plans and infrastructure improvements supported by the inter-local agreement. This new energy will serve to revitalize the area and the economy around it. If you are interested in finding out more about this investment in Downtown Bonita and what it could mean to your business, contact the Bonita Springs Estero Economic Development Council at (239) 333-2332.
