Restorative yoga can be viewed as "active relaxation." The student assumes the basic shapes of various yoga poses, modified to be totally supported with props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps). The result is a deep sense of relaxation, the antidote to chronic stress and its damaging effects.

If you choose to take the virtual class please gather from home, if you have them: a chair, a scarf (or yoga strap), 4 bath/beach towels (or blankets), 2 hand towels or washcloths, 2 yoga blocks (or use sturdy shoeboxes) and 1 large bed pillow sham. Don't let the props hold you up. Anything similar will do!
