Diary of a Wimpy Kid READ-A-RAMA!
"The more you read, the happier your life will be." -Jeff Kinney

Everyone loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid and everyone loves reading, so author Jeff Kinney wants to make make sure both are getting their credit over the summer! With that in mind, he's launched his READ-A-RAMA program. This summer, kids can stop by our store to pick up their 2019 READING JOURNAL. Once they fill it out, they can bring it in after June
1st to get a special sticker and be entered to win a grand prize from Kinney!

Full rules can be found HERE, but hurry.
We only have thirty journals!

Keep It Simple!
Join us for a visit from SIMPLIFIED author, Stephanie Sikora.

We all know
we need to focus on getting some of the clutter in our homes, businesses, and minds taken care of, but most of us aren't sure where to start. Author Stephanie Sikora has some answers for you in her new book, SIMPLIFIED, and she's coming to The Bookies to tell us all about it! Join us Saturday, May 18th at 10:30am to hear from her and get your copy of her book signed! Click here for more information and to RSVP!

Fresh Ink
The British are invading twice on our list and Larry Yoder wants you to know that one of the times is his favorite! Plus a Bookies' visitor returns and a NBA star debuts!

A secret doorway that leads to the ultimate library? Count us in!
  Stuart Gibbs
Fresh off his surprise visit to our store, Stuart Gibbs has released his newest Spy School book! When one spy door (the CIA) closes for our heroes, another (MI6) opens!
Rick Atkinson
(Review by Bookie Larry)
This is the best book on the American Revolution I have read in decades. Atkinson is a Pulitzer winner and a master of military history storytelling. Very readable.
While we love the writing in this true story of the Thai soccer team trapped in a cave, we have a special connection to this picture book here in Colorado. Bookies' fans will remember illustrator Dow Phumiruk from her visit to our store last year, when she showed us a special sneak preview of some of the art within!
An NBA legend has joined with an award-winning writer to create a sports fantasy series! While that's interesting by itself, here is the really shocking part: It's actually great! Already two of our staff members have come in raving about it and, as one put it, "it's the first time sports and fantasy adventure together actually worked for me."
Lumberjanes: #11-Time After Crime
The latest volume of the hit Lumberjanes series is the most action packed yet! How do you fight time-changing bubbles? What does the voice in the waterfall want? Why is the stone giant awake? And how cute is a counselor that suddenly de-ages more than a decade? All of this and more await you inside!

The Game Board
What has dragons, jewels, and dad's breath? Bookie Karla has the answer!

Dragon's Breath. Ages 5 & up, 2-5 players.

Dragon's Breath is a sparkling collection game where dragon children have found a beautiful column of ice filled with frozen sparkling stones. A great game for Father's Day, as dragon dad's breath helps melt the ice rings, one at a time, causing the jewels to tumble out! Players must be careful at this point because only certain sparkling stones can be collected and added to their hidden caves.

Come ask to the see the demo at the front of the store today!
