NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION

April 1 is Library Giving Day, a one-day fundraising event started by the Seattle Public Library Foundation to encourage people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their library systems. You can participate in Library Giving Day by contributing to these Library Foundation projects:

  • Come to the Family Game Night fundraiserApril 1 from 6:30-8pm at the Downtown Library. Play bingo and trivia. Solve a library mystery puzzle. Enjoy snacks, prizes, and more! Tickets are $30 each (children under 10 are free). Tickets and more information at: https://paybee.io/in-person-event/rclf/2
  • Support the Library’s Summer Learning Challenge, where children can sign up to read over the summer and receive books to build their home libraries. Since funds from San Mateo County Measure K are no longer available, the Library Foundation is raising the $35,000 required to purchase 9,000 books. Visit the Summer Learning Challenge page to learn more and donate!

Over 9,000 public libraries in communities across the nation are accessible to everyone at no cost. But public libraries depend on donations from the communities they serve. Support our library on Library Giving Day 2025. Together we can make it a success!
